Jean Skirts and Black Turtlenecks Sprinkled with Pink Accessories
This is Sophie, my twin sister (AKA my photographer for this blog). However, I decided to put her in front of the camera for this post to show off her super cute style. These photos were taken in one of the gardens at the Los Rios Tea House. If you haven’t been, you should try going soon! They have the best photo-ops, the cutest restaurants, and adorable, vintage antique shops!
Sophie chose to follow a simple look with minimal color – she stuck to the blues and blacks – but accessorized with light pink Wildfox sunglasses and a thin, light pink belt. I love this casual look because it is perfect for an average school day or even for a movie date! The sunglasses – P.S. she stole them from me for this shoot LOL – are from Nordstrom Rack (Wildfox brand). The simple black turtleneck is from the boutique, Q, that I was telling you about in a few posts back. The denim skirt is from Abercrombie and Fitch; the belt is from American Apparel. Lastly, Sophie’s black low-top converse are from Nordstrom.
The Wildfox sunnies pair perfectly with the light pink belt because they match exactly in regard to their light pink color. If she left out the pink accessories – the sunnies and the belt – the outfit would probably not be as unique.
Interview Q&A with my Twin: Sophie’s Style:
How would you describe your style in four words:
Casual, Flirty, Simple, Conservative
What pieces of apparel do you favor?
Slim-fitting dresses and blouses; off-the-shoulder shirts; high-waisted skinny jeans; turtlenecks
How did you choose this specific outfit?
I wanted something to flatter my body type, so I chose a tight-fitting shirt to accentuate my curves.
How does it feel to be in front of the camera?
It was definitely a different experience, but I enjoyed being photographed. It made me feel more confident about both my style and body shape after I looked at the final product of the collection of photos my twin took.
