Pioneertown and the Bull Skull

Floral-Patterned Overall Dresses and Punk-ish Belts

In the beginning of November, we went to Pioneertown for my sister-in-law, Cass’s, wedding! It was the perfect place to get married – a quaint little western-themed town with good weather and beautiful lighting… what more could you ask for?! My big sister, Brianna, rented a little Airbnb a few minutes from the venue, and it had the coolest backyard. It overlooked the beautiful mountains and had a lot of random, but super rad, photo ops – like an old red car with a broken window, a run-down shack, some vintage pool chairs, and an AWESOME BULL SKULL resting right above a teal blue chair! Pretty cool, right?!

To flow with the edgy vintage aesthetic of Pioneertown, I decided to wear my floral patterned overalls from Forever 21, my punk-inspired belt from Buffalo Exchange, a Gap denim jacket, and MIA clogs. Under my overalls, I wore a simple long sleeve gray blouse to pair nicely with the grey, black, and blue flowers on my overalls. Accessory wise, I, of course, wore my 8 rings and I also decided to throw on the classic rounded ray bans to complete the look! Although the look is “denim on denim,” it deviates from that typical blue denim combo, which I liked for a change! I really liked this overall dress because it was form-fitted which added a lot of shape to the look.

Pioneertown is SOOO cute and fun! It’s located in Yucca Valley (which is pretty close to Joshua Tree), so I would highly recommend taking a day-trip one day soon to experience its cool vibes and eccentricities! (P.S. I finished my first week of second semester today and I am so obsessed with my art classes!! I’ll be going to LA every other week to see some “hidden” galleries, so stay tuned for some sick pics of art!!)
