My Attempt at the “Boho-Chic” Look

A Day in Los Rios

Downtown San Juan Capistrano is one of my favorite places to go! There are cute little coffee shops (I highly recommend Hidden House Coffee!), super yummy restaurants, and amazing places to take photos! I went with one of my good friends and twin sister to the Los Rios Tea House for brunch, so I decided to wear something that would be appropriate for the semi-formal occasion – a sun-dress and floppy hat (the two pieces of attire typically well suited for attending a tea house for brunch).

We decided to walk around after brunch and stumbled upon the cutest photo-ops – all of which are pictured in this blog post! I got the dress from Urban Outfitters under the sale section of the website (Brand and Style: Kimchi Blue Jannie Off-The-Shoulder Midi Dress), the hat from Bass, and the simple tan sandals from Urban Outfitters. I found that simply adding the hat made the look acquire more of a boho-chic aesthetic. I am IN LOVE with this Kimchi Blue Midi Dress from Urban!! It is the perfect sundress to wear to brunches or it can even serve as a cute little beach cover up. It is extremely comfy as well! With regard to the shoes, I cannot even count the number of times I have worn them. They are sooo comfortable, match with pretty much all of my outfits, and were a bargain at Urban (I got them on sale for 20$!). I highly recommend the Los Rios District, and if you need any suggestions for cute and yummy food places, please don’t hesitate to contact me! As always, shop my look below. I hope this post was TEA-ming with good suggestions (hahah, I am super bad at puns but at least I tried)!

  • Hi there! I was browsing this dress on the Urban Outfitters website. I was wondering what size you got this in? I’m 5’3 and around 130+ pounds, so I’m not sure if I should go with the small or medium. Any help on my little dilemma would be nice. Thank you! 🙂

    • Hi Shaira, I got the dress in a size small! I would definitely recommend the small because I think that the arm length would most likely be too long if you got the medium! Let me know if that helps! 🙂

      • Thanks for the feedback! I have a pear-shaped body, and I’m neither skinny nor plus size. Does the small seem like a better choice than the medium? 🙂

      • No problem! I would try out the small first based off of what you have told me about yourself. If you have broader shoulders, I would go for the medium!
