Brigida Tripoli: The Cosmetic Guru

June 13, 2017

Feminine. Edgy. Tom-Boy. Minimalistic.

What’s up everyone! Today on the blog, I am featuring Brigida Tripoli! Brigida is the ultimate make-up guru. I mean, look at her – she is rockin’ that winged eyeliner #girlboss! Brigida is currently working in the makeup industry, but she wants to work toward moving into the skincare industry because of the high amounts of opportunities available. Below, I am going to talk a little bit about her adorable “all black” look and move onto her interview which details her advice for style, cosmetics, and hair products.

Brigida’s Outfit: The “All Black + Some Checkers” Look

For her look, Brigida decided to go for the “all black” look. She wore her classic black turtleneck body suit [Wolford Brand] under her ripped high waisted black denim jeans [Fashion Nova Brand] with some simple checkered Vans. I love this look because it is minimalistic and chic. You can never go wrong with wearing all black, like Brigida said in her interview. If you wear all black and then choose to wear an accessory with one pattern, that pattern will prove to be much more prominent. For example, in this look, everything is black except the checkered converse. I don’t think checkered converse have ever stood out more to me! This look is honestly perfect for any occasion in between the spectrum of casual to semi-formal. She could easily get away with wearing this to a dinner party if she added some simple heels and a classy coat to the look. She could also wear this look for an average day in college. Honestly, black is the most flattering color for all different articles of clothing. I would highly recommend getting some pieces from this look because they are all very practical, chic, and fashionable. Now, let’s take a look at the interview I had with Brigida!

Interview Q&A’s With Brigida!

What is your favorite article of clothing?

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with a leather jacket. You can wear it over a dress… You can literally wear it with anything.

How did you adopt your sense of style?

My mom is a huge influence. I always see her clothes and go shopping with her – I love looking at what she tries on. I also would say that magazines and social media play a huge part in my style choices.

Do you think your style has changed over the years?

Yes and no. I think that I have always had the same style, I just didn’t know what I liked and what I didn’t like. Wearing a lot of black has been my thing since freshman year. I started wearing all black because I got really frustrated with articles of clothing not matching haha. So, one day I decided to buy a bunch of black and ended up wearing it all in one “look” because I figured that it all matched perfectly!

What is your go-to makeup look?

You literally can’t go wrong with winged eyeliner. It literally takes any basic look to a “WOW” look. If you don’t know how to do a wing, you literally put tape underneath your eye and draw it on. I would also say that everyone needs a good mascara because lashes are everything. Also, I would invest in a good creamy matte lipstick.

What is your favorite brand of makeup?

I am really obsessed with the Marc Jacobs brand right now. Everything is extremely good quality. For example, the matte lipstick that I am wearing right now is Marc Jacobs brand and it is AMAZING. Usually matte lipsticks dry your lips out, but this one is actually really moisturizing.

Do you have any advice for hair products to use?

Make sure your hair isn’t dry. If you do have dry hair, use a hair mask or use coconut oil for split ends. Leave the coconut oil in your hair overnight and wash it out in the morning, and it will be 1000 times softer.

Go buy some pieces from Brigida’s look under “Shop Brigida’s Look” and rock an “all black” look! Hope you all had an amazing day!
